River Cafè and the Red Ochre Barrel + Grill seamlessly adapt to private and corporate events. Both restaurants are stylishly designed and appointed and have spectacular views over the River Torrens lake and city skyline. On those perfect days, the windows slide away, opening up both restaurants onto river balconies – truly alfresco dining or just the perfect place for a cocktail. Add to this we are superbly located and only minutes from the city with ample free parking.
River Cafè welcomes guests with a relaxed stylish modern atmosphere. The River Cafè kitchen embraces the best nuances of modern Mediterranean cuisine with an exciting blend of their costal cuisines. Our kitchen always celebrates local and seasonal and this is always the focus of our menus.

River Cafè is located on the ground floor level and Red Ochre Barrel + Grill on the first-floor level on War Memorial Drive North Adelaide.
River Cafè has a ‘silverglide’ chair lift which gives easy disabled access to all areas of the restaurant which has tiered seating…so, if you are considering our venues for your wedding and your guests will be a mix of age groups River Cafè will best suit your needs. Red Ochre Barrel + Grill and The Park Room has stair access but, does not have disabled access.
Red Ochre Barrel + Grill and River Cafè both enjoy the same wonderful city daylight river views and city night time light views.
The Park View Room enjoys daytime parklands views and whilst it does not enjoy the night light view, the intimacy of the room, when perfectly set for your function, remains one of the nicest private rooms available in Adelaide.
Red Ochre barrel + Grill has an understated elegance. It is recognised both locally and internationally as the definitive leader in contemporary Australian cuisine. Executive chef and owner Ray Mauger and his team take pride in promoting the best of Australian produce and indigenous ingredients.
Park View Room
For that smaller function up to 50 guests our private dining area may be more suitable with views overlooking the adjacent golf course.
We have state of the art AV facilities and can tailor our menus and packages to suit your event.
